How to Get Rid of Pimples, Blackheads and Excess Sebum

Our skin has much to suffer during summertime: heat makes us sweat excessively and sun exposure can have negative effects on our skin. If we do not have a proper hygiene and a proper care, we may face various troubles such as pimples, blackheads and excess sebum.

Here is how we can get rid of them quickly:

  1. Acne

First of all, although it sounds trite, do not forget to cleanse your face before bedtime. It is a capital mistake to sleep with your face full of foundation, powder and makeup. Choose the cleanser according to your skin type. After cleansing, use a toner. It is important to refrain from squeezing the pimples. You do more harm than good.

Use anti-acne miracle treatments: aloe vera and green tea.  You need to apply them on the problem area.

Another natural remedy that gives great results is garlic. You must know that garlic should be an important part of acne treatment because of its antiseptic properties. All you have to do is gently rub your pimples with a clove cut in half.

This will reduce sebum secretion and will give the skin a uniform appearance.

  1. Blackheads

Blackheads are the first stage of acne and are caused by excess sebum. It is best to get rid of them quickly. Before extracting them, it is recommended to do a steam bath.

There are plenty of natural alternatives for removing blackheads, for example, the infusion of chamomile tea, followed by exfoliation and extraction. Another option would be to apply heated honey on the areas with blackheads. Rinse after fifteen minutes. Honey is a good disinfectant. Lemon juice can also be helpful. You only have to apply it on the problematic area.

  1. Excess sebum

Oily skin requires a special care. You have to use special products to remove excess sebum from the skin.

For example, you need a cleanser that contains salicylic acid. Use it at least twice a day.

For very greasy skins it is recommended alcohol based toner.

If you prefer natural remedies, you can try a banana mask.

Ingredients:

  • 1 banana, preferably very ripe (you can keep it in the freezer and defrost it when you need it)
  • 2 teaspoons honey
  • An orange or a lemon

How to prepare it:

Smash the banana, then mix it with honey. For better results, you can put it in the blender. Add a few drops of orange or lemon. Apply the mask on your face and leave it for 15 minutes to act, then you can remove it with cold water.
