Effective Methods to Remove Unwanted Facial Hair

If you’re one of the many women who suffer from unwanted facial hair,  you mustn’t resign yourself to the idea that you’ll always look like this! There are several solutions that can help you remove unwanted hair from the face. In particular, it often grows above the upper lip, on the chin and on the temples.

Before you decide to get rid of the problem, find out what is causing it.

Factors that cause excess growth of facial hair

One reason may be hormonal imbalance caused by pregnancy or hormone therapy. In this case, doctors recommend hair removal only after hormones get in balance again, because otherwise no method would be satisfactory.

Problems with polycystic ovarian syndrome, certain medications or adrenal gland disorders can make facial hair grow more.

How to get rid of unwanted facial hair

  1. Sugar wax

It is a remedy easy to obtain and use.

Add two teaspoons of granulated sugar (white or brown), one teaspoon of honey and one teaspoon water. Heat in the microwave for 30 seconds and then leave it to cool.

Using a spatula, apply wax on areas from which you want to remove hair. Put a strip of special material for waxing or cloth and pull in the opposite direction of hair growth.

Repeat if necessary.

  1. Chickpea flour

This flour helps you exfoliate your skin, removing dead skin cells and hair. Plus, it can lighten your skin tone and the hair color that grows in this area.

Mix two tablespoons of chickpea flour with a tablespoon milk cream, a teaspoon and a half of milk and three-quarters teaspoon of turmeric. Apply this paste on your face and leave it for 20 minutes or until dry.

Remove it with a loofah or soft cloth soaked in warm water.

Do this three to four times a week for a month.

Alternatively you can mix a teaspoon of chickpea flour with half a teaspoon of yogurt or rosewater and a quarter of turmeric. Put the mixture on your face and leave it for 20 minutes before removing it.

Or mix two tablespoons of chickpea flour with a quarter of turmeric and a little milk, to get a good paste.

  1. Mint tea – solves the problem from the inside

Excess body hair is attributed to androgens in the body. Peppermint tea may help regulate them. Boil a cup of water. Add a teaspoon of dried mint leaves. If you have fresh mint, put 4-5 leaves. Cover the container and leave it for 5-10 minutes. Strain and drink twice a day.
