Makeup Tricks for Bigger Eyes

The key in mastering something, including makeup is practice as much as possible. It may seem complicated, but do not worry! Practice makes perfect! Here’s what to do to enhance your eyes in a few minutes using makeup:

Use white products. Any touch of white increases the eye. There’s no need to use white eye-shadow on the entire eyelid. Instead, you can use a white eyeliner or  little eye-shadow at the inner corner of the eye. Thus, the whites of eyes will be highlighted by makeup.

Emphasize the eyelashes. If you apply mascara on the eyelashes, the eyes will instantly seem bigger. For more impact and effect, you can use an eyelash curler. If you do not mind, you can also use false eyelashes, but only on the upper eyelid. If you apply them on the lower eyelid, the area will seem crowded and you’ll get the opposite effect: small eye.

Follow the eyelid crease. When applying makeup, you must be careful where you place it. It is best to follow the crease to give the impression of enlarged eyes.

Use the proper eyeliner. You will need to experiment with this product. The way you apply it depending on the shape of your eyes. Try on the lower and upper eyelid, using different colors to find what suits you best.

Makeup distribution. A trick that all make-up artists resort to is to use the largest amount of shadow in the middle of the eyelid, perpendicular on the eyelashes. This is the widest portion of the eye and if you emphasize it, you get bigger eyes effect.

Concealer. If you use a light shade of concealer in the inner corners of the eyes and the base of eyebrows, your eyes will be brighter.

Gradient effect. Create the illusion that your eyes are open using the gradient effect. Use shades of the same color. Apply the lighter ones near the eyelashes, and as you approach the eyelid crease, use darker shades.
